It was the first up effort we were after as PONY SOPRANO outlasted them over the 1206m first up. The smart son of Thronum didn’t have it all his own way and after being parked outside the leader he required a bit of Ash Morgan spark combined with some traditional old fashioned grit.
Robbie has the bigger picture in mind and the pressure was on to get it right as we lead into the Country Champs Season of 2025. The horse was trained to the minute and responded accordingly when the challenge loomed over the concluding stages to the roar of the locals.
Results like this just don’t happen and Robbie was adamant that this is a team effort from all involved. (Watch the backdrop footage throughout the clip to give you an idea of how it all comes together).
